was set up in October 1957 with the aim of encouraging interest in the history of the Caerphilly area. To this day, the Society is dedicated to the recording,
researching, sharing and preservation of the history of our town and surrounding areas.
We hold a series of talks each year on a wide variety of subjects and everyone is welcome to come along. We undertake research and publish our work in our own books and journals, take part in lots of local events and exhibitions and run an annual day trip to an historical place of interest in the UK.
We are always pleased to have new members and encourage people of all ages, from all areas of the community to come along and join!
NEXT TALK: Monday 13th March. 7.30pm
We're making some changes to our website, so it might look a little bit different next time you visit. We hope you like the changes, but if you spot anything that doesn't look quiet right, or any links that don't work, we would love to hear from you!
