As you may know, Monday, 12th october 2020, would normally be the first talk of
our new season.
Over the summer months, it had been our intention to start our season as usual.
However, after much deliberation and careful consideration, and then with the local lockdowns that were put in place, as you may imagine, we will have to postpone the start of our 2020-21
This is enourmously dissapointing, however it is necessary if we are to navigate
these difficult times.
We will let you know as soon as we are able to start our new season of talks but
in the meantime, we hope you are all taking photographs of the measures being taken around our town The now familiar lines painted on pavements, masks being worn, signs on buildings, notices on
street furniture and so on, will seem remarkable to future generations.
The Society may not be able to host speakers for a short time but our work of
recording the experiences of the town and surrounding area continues.
Keep well, we look forward to seeing you all soon.
With thanks for your continued support,
Caerphilly Local History Society.
